1. Information stored in the app
Plant names and species, notes, room and garden tags, care schedules and history, photos and their associated metadata, growth measurements, harvest records and settings are stored in the app’s local container on your iPhone. They are used to provide the journal, care reminders, photo timeline and statistics. The developer does not receive this content.
2. No accounts, advertising or tracking
My Bloomy does not require an account and has no developer-operated cloud service. The app does not send your journal or usage data to the developer, use advertising or analytics SDKs, or access your advertising identifier. It does not collect location, contacts or payment information. All app features are free.
3. Optional permissions
Camera access lets you take a photo for a plant. The system photo picker provides only the photos you choose to import. Notifications are scheduled locally for care reminders. Optional app lock uses iOS authentication, including Face ID where available; My Bloomy receives an authentication result, not your biometric data or device passcode. You can manage permissions in iOS Settings. Declining an optional permission does not prevent you from using the other features.
4. Photos, export and backups
Imported and captured plant photos are stored inside the app. They are not automatically published or uploaded. If you choose to export a photo or a backup, iOS lets you select the destination or recipient. A backup can include your entire journal and photos; keep it somewhere you trust. Any cloud storage or sharing service you choose handles that copy under its own privacy policy. My Bloomy does not provide automatic cloud synchronisation. Separately, iOS device backups may include app data depending on your Apple settings.
5. Retention and deletion
Your local journal remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual records or use More → Settings → Reset Data to remove the app’s journal, photos and settings. Deleting the app from your device also removes its local container; offloading an app is different and can preserve its data. Copies you exported or included in a device backup are not removed by an in-app reset and must be managed separately. The developer cannot retrieve, edit or delete your local journal remotely.
6. Demo collection and data replacement
The optional demo collection of 16 plants uses example records and photos bundled with the app. It can be selected at first launch or loaded later using More → Load demo data. After confirmation in More, loading the demo replaces your current plants, journal and photos; it does not merge the collections. Settings are kept. First save a backup using More → Export/Backup if you want to keep your journal. Loading the demo happens locally and does not send your data to the developer. Previously exported backup files are not changed.
7. Support correspondence
If you choose to email support, your email address and the information you include are used to respond to your request. Please do not send private photos, full backups or other sensitive details unless necessary for the issue. Correspondence is retained only as needed to address the request or meet applicable obligations. You can ask for deletion of support correspondence using the contact below. Email providers process messages as part of delivering the service.
8. This website
This website does not use advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, forms, cookies or browser storage. Its server necessarily processes network information, such as an IP address and the requested page, to deliver pages and keep the service working. Routine HTTP access logging is disabled in this site’s web container; operational or security errors may still create technical logs. Visiting this website does not give it access to the journal stored in My Bloomy.
9. Changes to this policy
If the app’s data handling changes, this page will be updated with a new revision date. The English and Russian versions describe the same practices.
